What is leather fabric
Leather is a natural fabric made using tanned animal hides, considered the first fabric to be made by human hands, and has changed dramatically over the millennia.
Leather is also one of the most desirable textiles because of its durability, water resistance and insulating properties, and is also available in a variety of styles and colors, making it one of the most diverse natural textiles.

How leather fabrics are used
Leather is known for its properties and is commonly used to make three different categories of products:
Apparel: In some cases, textile manufacturers may also use leather to make pants, shirts, or underwear, but these applications are less common. Leather is also a popular material for boots and shoes.
Accessories: Leather is one of the most popular materials for wallets and handbags. Suitcases and other forms of luggage also frequently use leather, a material often used to make briefcases. The use of genuine leather for belts and wallets is considered traditional.
Homeware: Along with cotton, polyester and other traditional upholstery materials, leather is one of the most common materials used to upholster sofas, chairs and even car seats. Less commonly, homeware manufacturers may use leather for throw pillows, rugs or wall hangings.
