There are many artists who use fabric as their creative material, but few people will call themselves "fiber artists" unless they have a clear political and identity stance. Fiber itself have too much affect of "pure art" , it has always been closely linked with the production and life, it is industrial, technological and even class, half on the wall, half on the ground, is a very contradictory contemporary The field of art is extremely small "scene". This year's "Hangzhou Fiber Art Triennial" is divided into four sections: "Needles, Proverbs," "Body, Identity," "Weaving, Casting," and "Phenomenon and Scene." The exhibits include installations, sculptures, images, Archives, and research projects. Many of these works involve the relationship between weaving and social production and change, not just individual experience. When the "art of fiber" is once again a collective display as a category, in addition to multi-oriented, they also show a strong commonality. It is these art with the most ancient creation, carrying temperature and memory of the works, so that art back to the emotional starting point.
